I love saying "true love". doesn't come off the tongue easy cuz its such a funny phrase.
I am in a very sentimental, optimistic, happy mood, having JUST finished bawling my eyes over the season finale of The Bachelor. HAHA
Guilty pleasure.
This show has run 8 seasons. A majority of them, I admit, have surmounted to nothing but b.s. (But only the seasons when the Bachelor/Bachelorette-in-seeking was an a-hole to begin with)
This season, like a fool, I watched everything. : ) I like the guy. He looks too picture-perfect right?, therefore at first he was very unappealing to me. But his character proved otherwise... he's very smart, very calm, has an old-soul, genuine, charming, optimistic about life and love. The girl he chooses in the end is what made the season worth watching. She was a verrry good catch. HE'S the lucky guy.
Girls, please watch, and learn from this chick... seriously 1-in-a-million.
The key to winning a man's heart: Unselfishness.
Its sad when girls get screwed over when they throw themselves at guys. Because thats what girls are willing to do sometimes. But they will purposely hold back because doing anything else would take away from the thrill of the chase. I personally hate "the chase". I would jump through hoops if it meant I could have something real. But anyways, this show was interesting because 1 girl was willing to throw herself at the guy, but she did it in such a genuine way. And it worked.
(The other girls admitted to falling in love but at the same time said they were guarded and didn't want to get hurt. BORING. go home. Theres no saving your pride on national television)
I guess when you love someone, you just love them, the act of it all. No conditions attached. If you get your heart broken and you're butthurt about it then, well, you were more in it for yourself than anything else. Love takes no offense. the true kind. (I'm trying not to say the phrase)
Its cool because the girl on the show turned my one ideal into a reality. Yes, you can fight for something you love and get it in the end. A fight, to me, reflects assurance, depth and certainty. Not desperation or neediness. But I guess guys always prefer the chase. I understand...
But I liked The Bachelor this season because he didn't choose the girls he had to chase. He didn't go for the teases. He went for the 1 girl who wore her heart on her sleeve. (and she did it with class, with glam, and with humor/wit). She was also a blonde! a smart one too. I wish I were a blonde, just so I could get the satisfaction of proving someone wrong, cuz that always feels good.
Also, heres my favorite couple from the Bachelorette. Trista and Ryan- happily married for 4 years.
They live my dream life! Only the Siberian husky part. : )
I cry. I'm sorry. I'm a sucka. But better to cry happy tears than sad ones.
